GSR Tri-Phase: affordable phased-release fertiliser
Germinal’s organic based phased-release fertiliser, GSR Tri-Phase, provides up to five months’ worth of nutrients and trace elements from a single application at a budget-friendly price point. It is an 18-3.5-8 NPK fertiliser which also supplies one unit of MgO plus trace elements including copper, zinc, boron, manganese and molybdenum. GSR Tri-Phase is recommended for use on all fine grass swards including golf greens, tees and fairways, sports pitches and all amenity areas, where its mini-granular (1-2mm) formulation delivers a consistent supply of nitrogen and potash over a period of 16-20 weeks: three forms of nitrogen provide three phases of nutrient release into the rootzone – an initial hit of quick release nitrogen gives way to methylene urea which is subsequently followed by a final release of organic based nitrogen. In addition, potash is also released slowly throughout the growing season to regulate water uptake and to ensure nutrients and trace elements remain mobile and available for uptake. A single application of 25-35g/m2 in the spring – typically in late March or early April – will instigate good early season growth and recovery and provide the necessary nutrients required by high performance grass swards for the majority of the growing season and certainly through until August or September. G13 ProteKt: hardens turf and protects against disease
G13 ProteKt is a 3-0-22 (+3% Fe) micro-granulated potash and magnesium fertiliser which can be used all year round. When used as an autumn/winter feed, its 22% potash and 3% iron content produces a tougher, more disease resilient sward with a richer depth of colour. It also ensures superior wear tolerance and enables swards to recover more quickly in the spring. As a spring/summer fertiliser, the high potassium content of G13 ProteKt supports transpiration control during dry periods and fortifies grass plants by increasing their resistance to drought conditions. G14 Alleviate Fe: iron-rich for healthy plant growth
G14 Alleviate Fe is the perfect iron-rich fertiliser for protecting high value turf areas throughout the growing season, but especially in through the autumn and winter. Designed for use on sports fields, golf greens and tees and bowling greens, its 4-0-10 (+8% Fe) formulation ensures quick greening without triggering flushes of growth. G14 Alleviate Fe also contains manganese, a vital component of chlorophyll, which ensures good metabolism, healthy plant growth and increased disease resistance. G14 Alleviate Fe also controls and inhibits moss for a better looking, higher quality grass sward. To find out more about G14 Alleviate Fe click here. Â
Agrosil LR
Agrosil LR is a unique 0-20-0 pre-seeding fertiliser that provides a 100% available source of phosphates to emerging seedlings. It is ideally suited for establishing a new grass sward on sand-based soils where, thanks to an electrolyte system consisting of partially dehydrated sodium silicate and phosphate which form large molecules to improve soil structure, it can supply nutrients to a depth of 30cm in the rootzone (conventional phosphate fertilisers will only penetrate to a depth of approximately 5cm). The silicates in Agrosil LR also lock up heavy metals such as lead and cadmium, enabling contaminated sites to host healthy grass growth. The same silicates can also protect grass plants against infection from fungal pathogens such as fusarium and leaf spot.  For more information about Agrosil LR click here.
