Attendance at this event will earn landscapers two hours of CPD points.Â
Opening the day will be an expert presentation from Richard Brown, Germinal Amenity Manager, on ‘How to get the best from amenity grass seed mixtures’. This practical presentation will look at the requirements for successful grass establishment, the importance of grass seed provenance and how to select the most appropriate seed mixture considering project specific requirements. Following this the group will break for a complementary lunch before joining Richard again to discuss ‘Selecting the correct amenity fertilisers’.
Richard will advise on suitable fertiliser selection and its benefits to the economic and environmental sustainability of differing landscape design projects. He will also explain the various types of fertilisers, how they work and the pros and cons of each. There will also be a chance for attendees to examine Germinal’s fine lawn, sports and landscape seed trial plots, plus a series of fertiliser trial plots which are being managed by the STRI.
This highly informative event will focus on Germinal’s commitment to working with landscape architects to provide up–to–date information and practical advice. From this event attendees will take away expert knowledge to improve the aesthetic quality, economic value and environmental sustainability of their work.
