Disease Management Webinars: Controlling fusarium and anthracnose with reduced fungicide usage
In addition to learning about the renovations of the West Course from the Wentworth Club’s greenkeeping team, delegates also heard from Dr Bruce B. Clarke, Director at the Rutgers Center for Turfgrass Science in New Jersey, USA, who presented his latest findings and recommendations for the effective control of two key turfgrass diseases – fusarium and anthracnose.
Dr Clarke is a respected authority on the identification and control of cool season turfgrass diseases and the establishment of integrated disease control strategies to reduce fungicide usage. He has published three books on turfgrass diseases and has received numerous awards including the USGA Green Section Award and the Col. John Morley Distinguished Service Award from the GCSAA.
